Jammu, May 22 : J&K Speed Ball Team declared overall champion in recently concluded Junior National Championship 2015-16 at Kanpur which was organized by Speed Ball Association of India. The team bagged 26 medals including 08 Gold, 08 Silver and 10 bronze. According to spokesperson, the Jammu and Kashmir Speed Ball Team performed an outstanding performance and emerged ‘Overall Champion’ in Junior National Speed Ball Championship organized by Speed Ball Association of India at Kanpur. “The contingent of 30 players from J&K under the banner of J&K Speed Ball Association clinched 26 medal including 08 Gold, 08 Silver and 10 Bronze in the tournament held from May 14-19 at Kanpur,” he said. In a felicitation programme held at Dogra Hr Sec School, the chief guest owner Early Times Bansi Lal Gupta along with the association members of the speedball SP Langer ( chief advisor), V K Sharma (advisor) , R M Tikku (director events), Pawan Kumar (journalist), Sunny Nanda(general secretary), Jyoti Gupta (member), Savita Sethi (member) of speedball association felicitated the members of the team which excelled at Junior national event. Speaking on occasion, the chief guest in his address congratulated the team and exhorted them for honing their skills further to gain new height in the extra-curricular activities and in their academics also. The chief guest also distributed mementoes to medal winner as a token of encouragement. Among the medal winners who were felicitated today included Manthan Pandoh (Air Force), Rhea Tikku (TSPS), Mansi Slathia (MVIS), Suryansh (MHAC Nagbani ), Pranay Gupta (Blooming Dale) , Uditi Verma (JMPS), Aryan Kangotra (SDTPS) and Kiran Sharma (St Paul) for winning Gold while Silver medalist were Rudresh Sharma (DPS), Samrat Ashok (JMPS), Mradima (TTS), Neha Thakur (HCCPS), Aditya Singh (CPS), Ujjwal Thakur (DHSS), Paramjeet Singh (LPS) and Ashutosh. The Bronze medalist included Pranav (HCCPS), Deexit (HCCPS) Aarti Sharma (HCCPS), Ajay Singh (DHSS), Shivanshu Heer (DHSS), Basu Chettri (DHSS), Abid Wani (DPS), Gopi (St Paul) and Lalit (St Paul ) |
