Army intercepts infiltrators along LoC in Jammu & Kashmir 5/31/2015 11:53:42 PM Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 31: The Indian Army on Sunday intercepted a group of heavily-armed guerrillas in Kashmir's Kupwara district, triggering a fierce gun battle which is still raging on over the Line of Control (LoC). "Army troops intercepted a group of heavily-armed militants on the LoC in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district on Sunday morning," a senior police officer said. "When challenged, the militants resorted to firing at the troops resulting in a fierce gun battle that is still going on." The terrorists have taken up positions in three houses. Earlier this week, three jawans and a militant were killed on the LoC, with reports stating that a group of four to seven infiltrators had sneaked into the Indian side near the Darshan Post opposite Pakistan's Chhajula Post.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
