| ReT Teachers to protest on June 10 for SSA salary | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 31: All Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers Forum on Sunday said ReT Teachers to hold protest to release SSA salary on June 10.
A meeting was organized at Exhibition Ground Jammu under the chairman ship of State President Vinod Sharma which was attended by State apex body members and district Presidents. Speaking on the occasssion, Vinod Sharma demanded the immediate release of salary under which is pending for last several months. He said that on one hand the SSA teachers are on verge of starvation and unable to provide basic family needs on the other hand the Govt. is least bothered about them.
Even the HRD Ministry has release more than Rs 400 crores under SSA about 15 days back but the State Finance Department has not released the same amount unknown reasons which is a matter of concern. The State Govt. is not releasing the already released amount of HRD Ministry, how can we expect than the state share would be released and the thousands of RET Teachers would get their 6to 10 months salaries, he said.
He also sought the released of salary grant of 3rd Teachers whose salary is pending for 2 to 3 months as the process of unverting their posts from Plan to non- plans very slow and the teachers are suffering a lot.
They lambasted the State Govt. and especially the State Finance Department and Education Department which is doing nothing to release the salaries of SSA Teachers. They threatened to go on strike if their whole salary is not released within a week and for such the step the Govt. is personally responsible. On the one hand the Govt want to revolutionize the Education Department but on the other hand teachers have to come on roads for the release of their salaries. |
