| 15-day long summer workshop concludes | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 31: A fifteen days long summer workshop 'Fun In The Sun' which began on May 15 , 2015 concluded here today in a simple yet impressive closing ceremony here at Air Force Station.
According to press release, Air Cmde Ashutosh Lal, VM Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Jammu was the chief guest for the occasion. The workshop began with the aim to provide happy and engaging experience to children to refresh them during vacations. The diligently designed curriculum included creative work like art, craft and calligraphy , visual and performing arts like instrumental music and dance, fitness regimes like yoga, P.T and swimming spoken English classes and introduction to multimedia, treasure hunt, gardening, educational children movies and outdoor games.
Educational trips to Katra Railway station, Baba Dhansal, Jhajjar Kotli and ISKCON Temple Udhampur were also arranged. Vikesh Sandhal, principal, in his address said that such workshops being conducted by the school for the last 13 years help to imbibe values like co-operation, leadership and team work besides making children confident and self dependent.
Chief guest also distributes certificates and gifts to the participants.. In his address the chief guest commended the efforts of the teachers and stressed that such camps will definitely benefit the students in their overall development. |
