Rana, Kitchloo face party workers' wrath in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, June 4: The National Conference leadership of Jammu province headed by its provincial president Devinder Singh Rana today faced wrath of Inderwal unit of the party for selecting wrong candidate for Inderwal constituency in last year Assembly elections in which party candidate Salam Din Chowdhary only managed to get about 240 votes.
Senior party leader and block President Thathri Shameem Ahmed while addressing the party meeting chaired by Devinder Singh Rana at Kishtwar hit out the party leadership for ignoring the panel of the candidates send by the District body of Kishtwar as a result of which the party reduced to rubble in Inderwal in last year Assembly elections.
Many other senior leaders also showed great resentment towards party leadership for playing delayed tactics in filling the vacant block president posts and also in party failure in activating SC/ST/OBC cells who played key role in mobilizing the mass support in favor of the party.
While addressing a party convention at Kishtwar Divinder Singh Rana acknowledge the role of party workers and hailed their concern by highlighting the loop holes in the party and assured the angry party workers that the issues raised by them will be deliberated in length before the party leadership.
Reacting to present political situation, Rana said that BJP-PDP government is aiming to divide the people of Jammu and Kashmir on regional lines and tried to create wedge between Jammu region and Kashmir region which according to Rana will be suicidal for the peace and stability of the state. He said that BJP Minister Sunil Sharma played key role in escalating the communal flair during Kishtwar violence, added that Sharma's speech before visiting Minister's delegation is beyond shameful act which cannot be explained in words.
In his address Ex Home Minister and MLA Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo also expressed his gratitude to party workers, people of Kishtwar for voting in his favor and assured that he like his father will continue to work for the people of Kishtwar and particularly for the people of his constituency. Kichloo also issued warning to government over harassing employees and NC workers. He said that any anti public measures of the government will be reacted with full force. He said that Kishtwar violence and role of BJP was aimed at winning the heart and minds of the people of Jammu region by soaking seeds of hatred among the people.
Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Mohammed Aslam Dev, Shabir Ahmed Kamal, Dev Raj, Surinder Singh Bunty, Brig Mohan Sharma, Qazi Jalal Din and several others also spoke on this occasion.
