| JTC, SKF express concern over corruption in Relief Organization | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 17: Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K expressed their grave concern over the prevailing corrupt practices by Zonal Officers of different Relief Zones as well as camp commandants of different migrant camps. A joint meeting was held here today under the president ship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front. While speaking in the meeting, Shadi Lal Pandita said that the Migrants have to suffer a lot of getting their issues resolved at Zonal level because of the fact that the Zonal officers demand huge amounts in resolving the issues of the migrants of the respective zones. He further said that these Zonal Officers/Camp commandants are posted in Relief Zones Relief camps for past more than 25 years i.e. from 1990 who have made their upper hands and are openly indulging in corrupt practices which have added to the suffering of the migrants. He said that though Relief Organisation (M) Jammu had invited applications from in-service migrants employees for showing their interest in serving in Relief Origanisation, in response to which good member of inservice employee have expressed their interests for serving in Relief Organistion but it is unfortunate that those Zonal Officers/Camp commandants who are working since 1990 have been posing hurdles in allowing the interested in services in serving the Relief Organisation.
He alleged that corrupt zonal Officers have been demanding huge amounts from the relief holders for release of cash assistance, these Zonal Officers have managed preparing fraudulent Ration cards and have unlawfully been drawing relief assistance thereby putting the Government exchequer to huge loss.
He demanded that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syeed should personally intervene into the matter for ensuring immediate disengagement of such corrupt Zonal Officers in the Relief Organisation (M) Jammu and according chance in service Migrant employees to serve Relief Organisation (M) honestly and sincerely to curb menace of corruption. |
