Rajouri, June 17: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized painting competition here at Himalayan College campus Thandi Kassi. According to press release, the function was presided over by Mumtaz Ali Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Advocate Vibodh Gupta MLC Rajouri was the chief guest. Dr.Alamdar Adam cultural officer Rajouri - Poonch in his welcome address highlighted the activities of cultural academy in Peer Panjal region. He further said that the aim to organize painting competition is to provide an opportunity to the young artists to interact with renewed painters from different states of India especially to know about the latest format and techniques of modern symbolic and abstract paintings. The young painters who bagged first, second, third and three consolation prizes were Shabana Anjum, Stuti Gupta, Afshi Shabir of DPS Rajouri. The cash prizes were given through chief guest MLC Vibodh Gupta. |
