| Man rapes daughter, another rape bid reported in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 17: In a shocking and outrageous incident a middle aged person (45) in a fit of rage to teach lesson to his daughter allegedly raped minor daughter here in Kathua area on Wednesday after seen her indulged with objectionable activities with her cousin.
Meanwhile in another incident a youth made an attempt to rape a minor girl in W-6 of Kathua district.
Police sources quoting the victim- the minor girl (who lodged complaint against her father) said that police have lodged an FIR after the victim reported the matter to concerned police.
Sources said, "the father of 13 year old girl in a fit of rage committed rape upon her after he noticed her indulged in some objectionable activities with her cousin at her residence. "He (accused) also has given a good thrashing to the youth before raping victim, police sources added.
Police sources said that accused identified as Ranjeet Singh alias Bitta of W-8,Kathua, "After receieving the complaint, the police got the girl for medical examination while booked her father u/s 376 RPC against an FIR No 190/2015.
"Yet in another similar incident, a youth tried to rape a minor girl (10) in Kathua, police sources said.
Police sources said that the accused has been identified as Pawan Kumar s/o Som Raj of W- 6, Kathua.
Following complaint, the police have registered a case in this connection and man hunt is launched to arrest the accused who has been absconding his arrest till last reports poured in. |
