Under CAP, Police distributes stationery items to students, holds Police Public meets

Doda, June 17: District Police under Civic Action Prog-ramme (CAP) today distributed the stationery items at various schools of Gundna of District Doda. District Police also held a public meeting with the prominent citizens of the area with an aim to strengthen the bond between Police and Public. According to police spokesperson, note books and other stationery items and school bags were distributed among 15 student's upto 8th standard of various schools of Gundna area under Civic Action Programme (CAP).
"SHO P/S Doda, Inspr Udhay Shanker Wazir under the guidance/supervision of SSP Doda visited Tehsil Gundna and distributed these stationery items to students in presence of prominent persons of the area and school staff, police said.
During the visit to area, the Police officer also held a Police public meeting with the prominent citizens and respectable of the area at village Wanipura Gundna which was attended by Sarpanches/Panches and prominent citizens/local of the area. Participants appreciated the role of District Police for conducting such types of meetings to bond the relations between Police and Public. During the course of meeting, the participants put forth their demands viz. establishment of ZEO, BDO and CDPO Offices at Tehsil Hqrs Gundna, establishment of J&K Bank Branch at Gundna, fulfill the staff at HSS Gundna including Principal, posting of PHE staff , Establishment of Kerosene Oil Depot. , and early repairing of link roads in the area.
Inspr Udhay Shanker Wazir, alongwith Incharge Police Post Goha Marmat also visited village Mangota and held a PCPG meeting with the respectable of area including members of social and religious groups, prominent citizens, Sarpanches/Panches.
Speaking to local in these meetings police officer stressed upon the participants at both the places to maintain peace and communal harmony in their respective areas and they were also assured that their genuine demands will be taken up with concerned Departments for redressal and those pertaining to the Police Department will be redressed on priority.
Besides, Incharge Police Post Kastigarh, ASI Mohd Sharief held a PCPG meeting at village Dhandal. During the course of meeting, the participants put forth their demands viz. adequate water arrangements for the yatries at Galla Dhar, construction of foot path from Preel Nehar upto Galla Dhar, establishment of PHC at Dhandal, Upgradation of MS Dhandal to High School, replacement of electric wooden Poles with Iron Poles etc.
