Police vocational training for youths concludes | | | Early Times Report Poonch, June 17: Continuing its initiative to train educated unemployed youth in various skill development courses, the District Police today distributed certificates among participants who successfully completed Vocational Training Centre courses in computer, shorthand, cutting and tailoring courses. Police spokesperson said, the district police is running a vocational training centre at a centre which was established during the year 2002 and vocational training in different trades viz. computer courses, shorthand courses and cutting and tailoring trades are being imparted to unemployed youth of Poonch. The latest batch of trainings concluded here today at District Police Lines (DPL) Poonch in which S Jatinder Singh Johar-SSP Poonch was the Chief Guest on the occasion and distributed certificates among 49 students of 20th batch who have successfully completed Vocational Training Centre courses in computer, shorthand, cutting and tailoring streams. Speaking on the occasion SSP Poonch Jatinder Singh Johar elaborated in detail the steps taken by District Police Poonch in helping the local youth to excel in all spheres of life which it is academic, sports, cultural activities or any other curricular activities. He exhorted upon the youth to contribute positively in the society and help in eradication of various social evils, crime and to maintain peace, communal harmony which is pre-requisite for peace and tranquility in the society. Among others present in valedictory occasion included Amit Gupta-ASP Poonch, Mohd Rafi Giri-DySP DAR and staff of the VTC Poonch. |
