| KAS officer injured, wife killed in south Kashmir accident | | |

SRINAGAR, June 28: A Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officer was injured and his wife was killed when their vehicle met with an accident at Shopian in south Kashmir district today, official sources said.
They said Arif Khan (KAS), Financial Advisor in the office of Chief Minister was on way to Poonch when a vehicle he was driving met with an accident at Shopian resulting in on the spot death of his wife Jabeena Arif. Arif and another person Mohammd Zahid Khan were injured, they said adding the injured were rushed to local hospital from where they were referred to Srinagar.
Driver dies of
cardiac arrest in Katra

Katra June 28: A driver today died of cardiac arrest while he was driving his autorickshaw to Katra town of Reasi district this afternoon.Subash Chander of Chowki Choura, tehsil Akhnoor died of heart attack while he was on the way from Banganga to auto stand Katra, police here said.
They said that the driver was rushed to the hospital but was declared as brought dead.
The body has been shifted to his native village after legal formalities, police added. |
