| 13th Jyot Annual Chitto Mata Yatra from July 1 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 28: The 13th Jyot Annual Pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Chitto Mata shrine ( Singhasan Mata) nestled in MountainousPaddar area will start from July1.
Giving the details about the Yatra schedule here today at a press Conference, Pritpaul Singh Lovely , Convenor, Singhasan Mata Jyote Yatra Sevak Dal Jammu said the holy pilgrimage would start from Jammu on July
Ist and will leave for shrine of Chitto Mata on July Ist at 6. A.M.to from Jammu Rani Talab Digiana ( Chito Bhawan ) .
Shagun Sharma ( Sewak ) will take akhand Jyot from Jammu towards shrine .
He said that the district administration has made all necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of the Pilgrimage.
"Adequate Security,Tented accommodation at Chitto Dham etc are being made for the devotees"free
of cost Convenor said.
He said that on the arrival of Yatra to the final destination Chitto Dham, the local people in traditional dress will greet the holy mace (Jyoti) amid devotional songs and chanting sermons in local Padri
language. He said this adds to the spiritual ambience as the holy rituals continue throughout the day. He said that Havanas are also performed by the devotees for seeking blessing of the deity for their families and dear ones.
The journey to the holy shrine of Chitto Mata( Singhasan Mata) shrine is about 330 Km from Jammu City, he said and added sufficient number of passenger Buses and Taxis remain available from Jammu to Kishtwar and
Padder and from Gulabgarh Padder to Sohl which is about 12 Km. "Beyond Sohl starts the foot journey of 15 kms through splendid natural beauty and eye-catching scenery dotted with streams, springs and sprawling meadows" |
