Forest Department retrieves 62 kanals encroached land

UDHAMPUR, July 16 : The Forest Department got vacated 62 Kanals of forest land during an anti-encroachment drive in Rang area of Ramnagar Tehsil.
The drive was carried out by a team constituted by Divisional Forest Officer, Ramngar, Vivek Modi under the guidance of the Conservator of Forest, East Circle, Jammu.
The team led by Range Officer, Ramnagar South Range, Satish Kumar visited compartment 49/S at village Rang of Ramnagar tehsil and removed the encroachment.
According to DFO, Ramnagar the staff of Forest Department, despite stiff resistance, succeeded in retrieving 62 Kanals of forest land from the possession of encroachers.
