Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, July 16: Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, a trusted lieutenant of ex-chief minister Omar Abdullah, is alleged to have elevated three junior most GMs (General Managers) as MDs (Managing Directors) when he was minister of state for Industries and Commerce. Reliable sources informed Early Times that the three GMs, having close proximity with Kichloo, were allegedly elevated to the posts of MDs of different public sector undertakings (PSUs). The three GMs from SICOP were made allegedly incharge of three different PSUs on temporarily basis. "They are posted as incharge MDs of Handicraft Corporation, JKCL and SIDCO", sources said and added, "All these arrangements were made purely on ad-hoc basis. It was on the condition that after finding suitable persons they shall be reverted to their parent organization. Their orders were issued by industries and commerce department on its own without taking GAD on board", sources alleged. Sources said that the intent of the order speaks that all these GMs were placed on stopgap arrangement and should be reverted to their original place of posting soon after suitable persons are found. "All these arrangements were made only to help blue eyed officers despite the fact that they were not qualified to man such prestigious posts", sources alleged. "These MDs bypassing administrative secretary, and GAD, seeking release of the grade, made a request for the release of grade to MoS on basis of performance they have shown in a period of five to eight months. While their performance was not up to the mark, Kichloo conceded their demand and released the grade," sources alleged.
