District Admn Reasi retrieves 50 Kanal State Land 7/16/2015 11:18:38 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 16: District Administration Reasi today retrieved nearly 50 Kanals state land from the encroachers. According to press release, the drive initiated to retrieve state land from encroachers in numerous areas of District Reasi is in full swing. Giving particulars concerning the outcomes yielded up to now on this operation, the District Development Commissioner Sushma Chauhan stated that the District Administration has succeeded in retrieving 50 canal of state land from encroachers. Chauhan informed that the state land measuring 50 kanals at village Mari, Tehsil-Pouni was retrieved from Krishan Lal S/o Shiv Ram, who dismantled the bowli (water source) on the said land and leveled it. In this regard concerned chowkidar and lumberdar of the village were suspended for not reporting the matter to the authorities and FIR u/s 447-A was lodged. She added Tehsildar Pouni u/s 133 of Land Revenue Act immediately removed encroachment. Assistant Commissioner Reasi was directed to examine the record of entire patwar Halqa and on his report Patwari Shah Nawaz Hussain has been placed under suspension, further added Chauhan. She said that the administration will reconstruct the bowli as it was used by locals and others travelling on Reasi-Pouni road.
