Locals stage protest against erratic power supply 7/16/2015 11:26:43 PM Early Times Report vijaypur, July 16: Farmers and inhabitants of Ramgarh and its surrounding area under the leadership of Youth Congress general secretary Parmjeet Singh (Puma) staged protest at Ramgarh against the Power Development Department for erratic power supply and unscheduled curtailments. Raising slogans against PDP-BJP Govt and elected representative, the protestors said that 10 MV Transformer at Receiving Station Ramgarh has developed a fault resulting area in darkness and till date the department has not taken any initiative to replace the transformer. The farmers said that the paddy crops sowing is on progress but due to unscheduled prolonged curtailments the farmers of area are facing problems to irrigate their crops. The farmers recalled that for the last 3-4 years in the kharif crops have failed following erratic power supply. The protesting farmers warned that department as well as administration to replace the transformer within 02 days otherwise they would come to streets and even block the National Highway SDM. Vijaypur, SDPO Vijaypur Tehsilldar Ramgarh, AEE Power Development and JEE rushed to spot pacify the protesters by assuring that their demands shall be redressed soon.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
