Doda, July 16 : Krishi Vigyan Kendra (SKUAST-J), Doda (Bhaderwah) today organized a programme commemorating the foundation day of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bhaderwah. The camp was organized under the overall guidance of Dr K S Risam, Director Extension (SKUAST-J) in which farmers from the cluster villages participated. The programme was conducted by Dr B Brahma and Dr Amit Singh Charak, scientists from KVK Doda who were the resource persons for the occasion. At the onset of programme, Dr B Brahma, scientist KVK Doda briefed the farmers regarding the role of ICAR in promotion of agriculture in the country and KVK-ICAR linkages. In his address Dr Amit Singh Charak apprised the participants that KVK Doda is working on the mandates as laid out by ICAR in the field of Front Line Demonstrations, On Farm Testing, Training of Farmers, Farm Women and Rural youth, vocational training, promotion of farmers organizations, Farmers clubs Self Help Groups etc. later an interactive session was also held as part of activity in which farmers shared their problems with the scientists who suggested them the viable solutions for them. |
