SRINAGAR, July 16: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, today greeted people on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida and expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of felicitations on the eve of Jumat-ul-Vida, Mufti Sayeed highlighted the significance of the day for fast-observing Muslims for thanking Almighty Allah in giving them courage and determination to quell thirst and hunger and repel the influences of evil, besides paying special attention towards the poor and needy during the holy month of Ramadhan.
"This day provides us an opportunity to seek Allah's blessings and express gratitude for compassion and kindness showered by Him on the mankind," he said.
The Chief Minister also prayed for peace and prosperity of the State and well-being of the people.
