Early Times Report JAMMU, July 16: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today congratulated newly elected Chairman of National Front of Indian Trade Unions (NFITU), Jarnail Khokhar. According to press release, a function was organised at Press club on Thursday under the Chairmanship Thakur Randhir Singh NCP President to inaugurate the unit of National Front of Indian Trade Unions (NFITU) J&K state which is patronized by NCP and headed by Jarnail Khokhar as Chairman J&K state. While welcoming the newly appointed chairman NFITU and other Trade Union heads Former minister said that National front of Indian Trade Union (NFITU) is recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Labour vide order no L- 52025/20/2003-IR (Imp-II) whose chief patron is Sharad Pawar. Singh said NFITU organizes the unorganized agriculture workers, daily wagers, Municipal corporations employees, construction labours engaged in private sector and contractors, including workers under Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and under organizations such as Coal India, Steel Authority of India, and power industries. Singh has appreciated the role AIIMS coordination committee led by Bar Association Jammu for peaceful movement. Singh has appealed to all political parties and people of the state to ensure implementation of the old commitment of central ministers of BJP and appealed the Prime minister to announce the establishment of All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu and also announce New International airport at Jammu on the name of Mata Vaishno Devi as the old airport is on Defence land and unfit for landing big planes. Other senior NCP leaders and Presidents and spokesman of various Trade Unions who addressed the function include Krishan Kumar Digra, R S Billowaria, Gourav Kapoor, Abhimanyu Pratap Singh Jamwal, Bansi Lal Sodhi, Sandeep Manhas, R C Bali, Amit Datta.
