| ReT teachers lock schools, stages protest against Government | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 6: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum today held massive protest demonstrations at all district headquarters and locked up all the schools in the protest against the controversial remarks of Education Minister against ReTs by saying that ReTs possess fake degrees and are less qualified.
At Udhampur hundreds of ReT Teachers assembled at CEO office in the shape of rally and held a sit in protest demonstration.
The protest was held under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and Distt. President Lekh Raj Parihar.
Sharma lambasted the Education minister's remarks and said that minister is harassing the ReT community by planning to take screening test of all ReTs.
He said that High Court had asked to take the screening test of only those ReTs who possess fake degrees issued by fake universities but in light of that judgment Minister is planning to take screening test of all ReTs and thus disturbing than mentally. He said that ReTs under SSA are without salary for last several months, MDM dues are pending for last 1 and half year and regularization of ReTs is pending for 1 year and the minister is passing such remarks to divert the attention of the ReTs from their genuine issues.
At Jammu Provincial President Rajesh Jamwal, Senior vice president Younis Rahi and Distt. President Subash Chander led the protest demonstration of hundred of ReTs at C.E.O office and shouted slogans in support of their demands and shouted resentment against the Minister.
At Doda Distt. President Sajad Malik led the protest of hundreds of RETs at C.E.O office and Lambasted the Education Minister for his remarks against ReT community. He treatment to intensify the stir if such order of screening is not revoked immediately.
Gulzabir Dain Distt. President Ramban led the protest demonstration of hundreds of ReTs at C.E.O office and shouted slogans against the Minister.
He said that Naeem Akhter has forgotten the key role of ReTs who have been doing their jobs in far flung areas for last 15 years.
At Poonch State Gen. Secy. Najam Jafri led the protest demonstrationof a large number of teachers.
At Kathua , protest was marked by JKReTTF under the leadership of District president Kathua Meena Sharma .A large number of R-e-T Teachers from various zones of district Kathua were participated in the protest against the recent order issued by the Government of J&K under the guidance of Education Minister. |
