Terrorists strike again at Udhampur, two injured

Udhampur, Aug 6: In yet another terrorist attack at PP Sang, under the jurisdiction of p/s Basantgarh in Udhampur district two cops received injuries after some suspects reported to be militants attacked the police post.
This is the second terror attack in the district after the one which held a day earlier at Samroli that left two BSF men dead and 10 people injured.
One militant was killed and the other was held captive by the security forces after the locals displayed exemplary courage and nabbed the terrorist before he could have caused more damage.
As per reports the Sang Police Post has been attacked by the militants around 9.15 pm today. Firing is still going on when the last report was received. However the connectivity got snapped off while the firing was on when the last reports came in.
Meanwhile DIG Reasi Udhampur Surinder Gupta when contacted said that it was not confirmed whether it was militant attack or security forces opened firing on suspect basis.
However sources confirm that 5-6 terrorists are holed up at PP Sang who started indiscriminate firing injuring two SPOs. The injured SPOs are identified as Gul Mohammad and Rakesh Kumar.
There are unconfirmed reports of one SPO allegedly killed in the terror attack.
The reinforcement was being sent to the Basantgarh till last reports came in as information received that very less numbers of nafri was deployed on that police post.
Pertinently it was second attack in district Udhampur as earlier on Wednesday militant opened firing on BSF vehicle killing two BSF men and injuring several.
