DODA, Aug 6 : The Rural Development Department launched 'Clean and Green Mission' with the theme of 'My Village My World' in Block Bhagwah in which about 700 people including PRIs, General Public, School children, Officers/Officials of line departments participated.
The main objective of the mission was to ensure growth of villages in planned and scientific manners, make the Panchayat free from polythene and to conserve the natural water resources like springs, walls, rivers nallahs etc. Gurjeet Singh, BDO Bhagwah explained various features of the programme in detail. He exhorted upon the people to plant more and more trees to save the degradation of environment, stop use of polythenes, construct 100% IHHL units to avoid open defecation and conserve the natural water resources in all the panchayats.
The others who spoke in the programme include Sh Khursheed Ahmed ZEO Bhagwah, Smt. Shayasta Sultana Beg CDPO Bhagwah, Dr. Kailash Sharma Lecturer HSS Bhagwah and children from different schools. |
