| 'My Village My world" programme held in Samwan-Khour | | | Early Times Report
Samwan (Khour) Aug 6 : A programme under "My Village My world" campaign with an objective to focus planned development of rural areas, conversation of water bodies and ensuring polythene free environment in the villages was held here today at Samwan Khour in Akhnoor under statewide campaign started by Rural Development Department recently.
"My Village and My World' PO MGNREGA and BDO Samwan alongwith team members visited almost all the Panchayats and administrated oath to the general public of the Panchayat to make their village be clean and green because as their village is their world and every sarpanch owns responsibility of one village i.e. the village he/she represents in the area.
Speakers on this occasion urged upon public in general and civil society, religious leaders and students in particular to work for ensuring polythene free and clean their village and preserve water bodies in their area.
Large number of the people participated in the meeting and all of them enthusiastic for launch of this mission. Besides Block Development Officer Samwan, PO MGNREGA and other official a large number of locals and students were also present on this occasion. |
