Boy hit by shooting stone, hurt | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Aug 6: A minor boy of class 3rd was injured on being hit by a shooting stone on the underconstruction Shiv Nagar-Sarwan road. He was identified as Mohammad Din son of Ghulam Mohammad Gujjar resident of Sirgwari Kishtwar. As pet the details available with Early Times, while returning to home from School, the big stone hit on his head as a result of which he was seriously injured. After seeing him lying in pool of blood, the family members along with the villagers shifted him to District Hospital Kishtwar in critical condition from where doctors refereed him to Srinagar for advance treatment. The eyewitnesses said that the JCB machine was at work on Srawan road when the stone rolldown and hit the minor. He belongs to a poor family. Earlier also, some people were said to have sustained injuries due to the alleged unplanned construction of Srawan road by a PMGSY contractor. Locals said that they had also held protest few days ago against the change in road alignment that has threatened the lives and property of Sirgwari villagers. However, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Khalid Malik had ordered in charge police post Thakrie Qasim Din to use force against them. In the police action, several people including women were injured. The family members of the injured boy have demanded registration of an FIR against those responsible for today's incident. |
