SKUAST employees protest against administration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 21 : The non Teaching Employees of SKUAST - J held peaceful demonstration at Main Campus Chatha today to register a protest against the adamant attitude of the administration towards the genuine demands of the non teaching employees. The strike was called in backdrop of the repeated requests after submission of charter of demands to the authorities during the course of which the assurances were given for early redressal of the issues. While speaking on the occasion BN Singh, President of the association informed that for the last over one year the association submitted the charter of demands a number of times to the authorities to resolve the issues but all the requests were unheard. Singh said that the registry has adopted an attitude of harassing the non teaching employees by twisting the rules and statutes as per their requirement. He further lambasted the authorities of pick and choose policy while implementing the various orders. While speaking on the occasion, Zamirul-Haq, Gen Secy, said that long pending genuine demands of career advancement, transfer policy, etc are not addressed by the authorities as such we are forced to take this step. Gursanjeevan Singh, Jt Secretary, said that he objective of one day token strike was to appeal Chancellor and Pro Chancellor to intervene in the matter and redress the genuine demands of the employees and also act with heavy hand to the blue eyed people sitting in the helm of affairs. |
