JSM protests against VC for disobeying Guv’s order 8/21/2015 10:54:02 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 21: The Jammu Students Morcha (JSM) today protested against the University authorities for disobeying the Governor (Chancellor, Jammu University) order for the provision of one post for one person in the University administration. Addressing the gathering here today, Vikram Kumar State President JSM, said that senior professors were calling the shots as they had been holding more than one prized position since long, notwithstanding it was upsetting the normal functioning of the varsity. "Instead of adhocism and giving additional charge to some favourites, the Vice-Chancellor should go for a viable solution by filling these posts on permanent basis," he said. He said that Prof Rajnikant has been occupying three key positions in the university, adding that he is functioning as Chief-Coordinator all campuses, Director Ramnagar Campus besides also holding the charge of Director, Academic Staff College. He further said that Dr Arvind Jasrotia has been given the charge of Head Department of Law, and also holding the charge of Dean Law while Dr Mubarak Singh has been given the charge of Head Department of Education and also holding the charge of Dean of Education. Prof Ramnika Jalali has been given the charge of Head Department of Punjabi and also holding the charge of Dean Arts where as Prof Dhian Singh Bhau has been given the charge of Director Physical Education and also holding the charge of Director, Yoga. He said that another senior Prof Jasbir Singh has been given the charge of Provost Boys Hostel, Chairman NSS, besides Head FM Centre in campus adding Prof Anil Kumar Raina has been given the charge of Director Udampur Campus, and also holding the charge of EVS Head while Prof Shohab Inayat Malik has been given charge HOD Urdu Department and Director Kishtwar campus. "We fail to understand that how a person occupying more than one post delivers justice with the administration as well as the students," Kumar said while questioning the rationale behind such an arrangement.
