Manohar visits landslide affected village
8/21/2015 10:54:58 PM
Jammu, Aug 21: Former Minister, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Friday expressed full sympathy with affected families of Ramkot, due to landslides.
As per press release, Sharma said that a massive land slide occurred on August 20 at village Morha Chuhara of Panchayat Uchha Pind in district Kathua in which nearly forty residential houses and one government school is completely damaged.
According to press release, the former minister alleged that the concerned Sarpanch, Puran Chand has already brought the matter in notice of concerned revenue authority but nothing has been done by them so far.
Showing resentment against local administration, the villagers today staged protest demonstration and blocked the Dhar road for three and half hours at Poungran area.
Expressing full sympathy with affected families, former minister assured the affected families of Morha Chuhara to take up the matter with the higher authorities for their all possible help and early rehabilitation in safer place.
Afterwards Dr Sharma took up the matter with the Divisional Commissioner.
