Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 21: In a joint emergency meeting of various Sikh organizations J&K along with Refugees of POK-1947, under the Chairmanship of S. Mohinder Singh Chief organizor, Bhai Kanahiya Nishkam Sewa Society has demanded centre to settle the issues of POK Regugees of 1947, including Refugees from Poonch, Muzzafarabad and Mirpur, who had migrated in 1947 during the partition of Country. It was stressed upon both the countries during the Foreign secretaries meeting that all of us may please be allowed to participate in the said meeting to sort out the issue of the migrated people. The participants have very much urged on the issue which has not so far been settled by neither the Govt. of India nor the Government of Jammu and Kashmir State. The major issue being that since last 68-69 years, while we had since migrated, there is no settlement made relating to the issues of having made Reservation Quota for their children both in their Educational institutes neither at the time of service, so far, with the result that they are very much harassed from the said issue as far by the authorities concerned, for which they have collected at the juncture to point our the said issue of POK Refugees - 1947. |
