Rs 8400 fine charged from erring traders in Reasi

REASI, Aug 21: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Sushma Chauhan, a team of district administration today booked six traders and charged Rs 8400 as fine from them for violation of norms. The team inspected various business establishments including hardware shops, karyana stores, sweet shops, vegetable/fruit sellers, meat shops and dhabas at Main Bazaar Reasi. Traders were warned of stern legal action in case of any further indulgence in anti-consumers practices. They were further directed to use only verified weights and measures and sell packaged commodity clearly mentioning MRP, packing date, net weight, complete address of manufacturer/ packer along with the consumer helpline number.
