GCW Parade wins inter-College Chess Trophy 8/21/2015 11:57:31 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 21: Government College for Women (GCW) Parade lifted the inter-college chess trophy after they trounced the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments of University of Jammu (JU) 3-1. This tournament was organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, JU at the Gymnasium Hall on the campus. The Results : Sushmita Jamwal beat Ravleen Kour; Hansja Sharma beat Anita; Navneet Kour beat Santosh Kumari; Anchal Chiber lost to Sanmeet Kour. Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau was chief guest, who awarded th title trophy to GWC Parade. Meanwhile, in the men's section, Government Degree College (GDC) Samba and PG Departments qualified for the final. Earlier, in the semifinals, GDC Samba defeated GDC Udhampur 3 - 1. The Results: Debanshu Sambyal beat Rahul Sharma (senior); Vikas Singh Sambyal (GDC Samba) beat Abhinav Parasher; Neeraj Singh Sambyal beat Rahul Sharma; Janish Jai Manyal lost to Shivang Gupta. In other semifinal, PG Departments outplayed GGM Science College. The Results: Ishan Sarna beat Sunil Singh; Hiteshwar AKesar beat Akhil Singh; Utkarsh Pathania beat Kunal Sharma; Kulveer Singh Parihar lost to Sukhdev Singh.
