JAMMU, Aug 21: St Mary's Infant Pre School (SMIPS) today organized a Fancy Dress Competition in the school premises. Anna Mary, Chairperson of St. Mary's Infant Pre-School who was also the Chief Guest of the occasion inaugurated the event by the lighting of the lamp along with Anthony Ignatius, who was the Guest of Honour. The event was marked with a dazzling fancy dress competition where the tiny tots of Pre-nursery, Nursery and& LKG classes showcased their talent cheerfully. Some of children depicted themes like fairies, fruits, vegetables, and also enacted the roles of famous personalities such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jhansi ki Rani, Bill Gates to name a few. Children were smartly dressed and participated with much enthusiasm and enthralled everybody with their endearing acts. Speaking on the occasion, principal of SMIPS, Sheetal Anthony said that the main aim of the competition was to bring out the hidden talent of the little stars of kindergarten and give them a platform to build their self-confidence and explore their inner strength. Later, the Chief Guest distributed prizes among the students as a token of appreciation for their outstanding performances. Adrian Raj Anthony and Aadhira Sharma, who came as a Catholic Priest and Jhansi ki Rani respectively, were adjudged the joint winner for their costume and dialogue. Abheet Singh stood second, while Aden Asif and Utkarsh Mahajan shared the third place. Special prize went to Gouranshi and Asad for their commendable efforts. |
