2 bovine smugglers held, 16 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 1: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers, the police today claimed to have arrested of two bovine smugglers during a naka at Nagrota besides rescuing 16 bovines animals. Police said that the accused have been identified namely as Altaf of Kukernag Anantnaag (driver) and Shakoor Ahmedof Gole Gujral. "On specific information, a police party led by SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan raised a naka at Bantalab Nagrota and intercepted a Truck bearing registration number PB13AA-9078 carrying bovine animals on way to valley from Jammu," the police spokesman said. Police said that during search it was found that the truck was loaded with 16 bovines and occupants of vehicle failed to produce due documents for transportation of animals. A case under FIR no 188/ 15 under section 188 of RPC 3/5 PCA ACT has been registered. |
