Army public school Rakhmuthi celebrates Parents Day 9/1/2015 11:21:52 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 1 : Family is the fundamental unit of a society and parents and children are its pillars. Parents are those special people who possess immense patience to bring up their child in best possible ways. The management of Army Public School Rakhmuthi demonstrated this special bond by celebrating Parents Day on 31st August 2015 by honouring those special people in our lives. It was a special day for all those who attended the programme. The event was graced by the presence of Education Officer, APS Rakhmuthi and Shaswati Ghosh- Principal APS Rakhmuthi. The show commenced with lighting of traditional auspicious lamp as a tribute to mother Saraswati - Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. The event was ushered in by a riveting dance performance by the junior kids on the song ' Itni si hassi' which kept the audience spellbound. The school choir enthralled the audience with the soulful rendition of a group song which was followed by a musical skit and mime .The most riveting performance which drew unceasing applause by all was- 'Star Anthem'. The students mesmerized the audience by their formations and dance forms. The audience showered their appreciation by their continuous ovation. Some interesting activities kept the parents enthralled. Parents added that the school's decision to celebrate parent's Day is expected to bring about a positive change in the outlook of the present generation and school is doing a great job of reviving moral values in our society.
