Pak agencies radicalizing youth along borders | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 1: Several nationalist organistations operating in the peripheral areas of the state have apprised the home ministry about the disturbing activities along the borders of the Jammu and Kashmir. They have reportedly stated that Paksitan and its agencies are trying to radicalize the youth in these border areas and the religious activities have been started in the guise of the religion. Top leadership of the Hindu organization and senior leadership of the RSS including Indresh Kumar had a meeting with the top officials of the home ministry and apprised them about the activities along the borders of the Jammu and Kashmir, these leaders who had got detailed reports from the ground from the voluntaries told the officials that serious steps must be taken immediately to stop this trend. "Pakistan in a changed game plan of is making attempts to foment trouble along the border. Many madrassas have been set up where secretly youth are being radicalized and this is a part of the larger game plan, which needs to be checked at the earliest. As Pakistan is already firing along the border and in case of the any war, the border people have a very important role to play," said a senior leader. It is in this context that a senior leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad also called on the Governor NN Vohra last week at Srinagar. "It's very rare for a leader of the Hindu organization call on the constitutional head. But, when he meets it shows the urgency of the situation and also that situation is very disturbing. The state government has also been directed to take serious measures as attacks on the shrines of Sufism in the Kashmir is a reflection about the radicalistion process," said the leader. |
