| Self styled 'Tantrik' among two held for duping gullible in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 1: Bus Stand police arrested a self styled holistic healer and his accomplice for duping lakhs of rupees from people on the pretext of curing various sorts of family problems especially love affair matrimonial disputes through his 'magic power'.
Police said the accused persons have been identified as Mohd Irfan s/o Noor Mohd @ Sufi Aladin Ajmer wale Baba r/o Dulana , UP and Mohd. Shamim.
"The arrest have been made by SHO Bus Stand Paramjit Singh, police added.
"Acting on a complaint lodged, police today acted swiftly and arrested the self styled Tantrik for cheating people and duping them of money," police said.
"The accused, as per police said, who had been cheating public on the pretext of curing all types of problems including love affair, matrimonial disputes etc through magic power through aunique modus oprendii by rotating an earthen pot on glass by using silk thread (which visitor believes that it rotates by some spiritual power)," police maintained. The duo has been booked u/s 420 RPC against a case registered under FIR No 43/2015.
Meanwhile police have said that following their arrest, police have received eight more complaints, mostly from love birds. |
