HSS Dachhan students protest shifting of English lecturer | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Sept 1: The students of remote Higher Secondary School of Dachhan in Kishtwar District today registered strong protest against shifting of English lecturer Milky Ram. The students said the shifting was politically motivated. They urged the education minister to cancel the transfer immediately. As per the details available with Early Times, large number of students joined by some prominent citizens held a strong protest demonstration against the transfer of English lecturer and raised slogans against Education Minister Nayeem Akthar, Commissioner Secretary Education Shaleen Kabra and Director School Education Jammu, added that the transfer of lecturer Milky Ram was done at behest of local BJP leaders. They said that school already faces shortage of staff and said that the Minister of State for Revenue, R&B Sunil Sharma partner to the demand of local BJP leadership managed the transfer of the lecturer as a result of which the students are facing lot of problems. They said that HSS Dachhan also lacks infrastructure, beside there are eight posts of lecturers are now vacant after the transfer of Milky Ram to Higher Secondary School Marwah. Meanwhile, the PDP Block President Anoop Kumar also slammed his own government for transferring the English lecturer from HSS Dachhan. He also slammed the government for retaining the influential lecturers who were transferred from the area after several years. He said that they are hopeful that PDP will fulfil its promises with regard to filling of all vacant posts in Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan areas as was promised by the PDP during election campaigning. "I urged upon Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party present Mehbooba Mufti to look into the issue on top priority--- I am also hopeful that government will address the problem of shortage of staff in schools of Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan" maintained Anoop Kumar. |
