| Dehli based Narco smuggler held with Ganja | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 1: A Delhi based man was arrested alongwith the consignment of ganja at Lakhanpur in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir while smuggling narcotics substance. A case stands registered in this regard
"The accused has been identified as Tawi Kumar @ Balla s/o Amar Singh, resident of Majnu Ka Teela, Arun Nagar Delhi, police said, adding, "the arrest as well as recovery has been made under the overall supervision of Neeva Jain-IPS, SP Kathua."
Police said, "Police team intercepted a man for his suspicious movement especially after seeing the police soon after he stepped down from a Jammu bound bus at Lakhanpur.
SHO Lakhanpur Anuroop Sharma said that during routine checking at Toll Post Lakhanpur, the Police party of Police Station Lakhanpur headed by Inspector Anuroop Sharma, SHO PS Lakhanpur intercepted one Bus bearing registration No UP 70ET-6565 plying from Delhi towards Jammu.
"One suspicious person carrying bag suddenly de-boarded from the bus and tried to give a slip to Police Party accordingly he was nabbed and during his search police recovered 06 Kg Bhang Patta (Moulded) from his possession, ' he added.
Police said that a case under FIR 63/2015 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered and further investigations are on. |
