A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Siraj-ud-Din district president USTA Kishtwar and they decided that the teacher day will be observed as black day and showed anguish over the callous attitude of State government for not addressing demands of teaching community. In a press statement issued, Chander Prakash District spokesperson of USTA, the speakers criticized the hollow assertions of government of bringing reforms in the educational sector of the state, added that on the one side government wants to lift educational standard in the state but on the other side never let any chance of harassing teaching fraternity. He said that Teachers especially working under SSA are without salaries for months together. He said files of regularisation of teachers of Kishtwar district who have completed five years of service as ReT are eating dust in the DSE Jammu and now in CEO office Kishtwar since 2013. We had heard so many times about transparent transfer policy but it is not a transparent transfer policy it should be named as opaque transfer policy because only blue eyed officials are enjoying it" he said, adding that keeping in view of the above demands of teaching community especially the salary issue of USTA has decided to celebrate this year's Teachers Day as a Black day. |
