Ramban, Sept 16: Rural sports competition under centrally sponsored scheme Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan, in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball concluded here at Higher Secondary School Gool.
According to press release, MLA Gool-Arnas Ajaz Khan was the chief guest and SDM Gool Zamir Rishu was the guest of honour.
SDPO Gool, Tehsildar, ZEO, ZPEO, Principal and staff members of school, Sarpanchs, Panchs and other prominent people of the locality also graced the closing ceremony of the rural competitions.
Chief guest distributed medals, trophies and certificates among the winner teams.
While speaking on the occasion he lauded the role of Youth Service and Sports department for providing opportunities to the budding players of the remotest panchyats of the hilly areas of the block and advised the young players to take part in such competitions with enthusiasm and dedication, which can help them in future in the competitive and professional world of games and sports. |
