Bail denied to 2 brothers in kidnapping, rape case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: Principal Sessions Judge Samba M L Manhas today recjected the bail application of Mangal and his brother Vijay Kumar who were arrested by the police in an alleged kidnapping and rape case. According to the police case, proseuctrix lodged a report that on April 15, 2015 at about 5/6 am, alleging that when she had gone in her field and was returning her home, Mangal Singh and other accused persuaded her to board their tractor and made her to sit in the tractor with the promise that they would drop her at home and on such assurance she boarded the tractor of the accused, as he was known to her, and when she sat on tractor, Mangal put his handkerchief containing some intoxicant upon her mouth whereby she became unconscious and when she regained her consciousness, it had already become dark and she found herself alone in forest and both accused who had committed rape on her the whole day. On this, police registered a case under section 366/376 of RPC and arrested the accused. The judge, after hearing the two sides, observed that leniency in such matters would really be a case of mislplaced sympathy. With these observations, the court rejected their bail application.
