Div Com headed committee to monitor Bus Stand project 9/16/2015 11:31:01 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 16: Deputy Chief Minister took a review of the prestigious Bus Stand project being constructed by the Jammu Development Authority. Approval was accorded to the award of contract for mega project of Multi-tier Parking cum Modernization of General Bus Stand Jammu to be taken up in a phased manner at a cost of Rs. 201.00 crores. This decision had been pending since 2011 and Board cleared this mega project comprising of a Bus Terminal and rehabilitation on Ground Floor besides facility for parking more than 1300 cars on upper three floors would be available and also commercial areas on 4th and 5th floors would be earmarked for providing facilities and amenities like Restaurants, Food Avenues, Shops, open spaces etc. While reviewing the decisions of the previous board meeting, it was informed that steps have already been initiated for development of new colonies at Nagrota and Jagti which would provide housing facility for atleast 1000 families. The Board emphasized upon the need for putting in painstaking efforts on a war footing to complete project of 524 residential flats at Muthi, Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Park on Tawi Bank with facilities like Children Park, Jogger Tracks, Fountains, Amphitheatre etc. Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Bipul Pathak, Vice Chairman, JDA, Mubarak Singh, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Mandeep Kour and other officers were also present. A detailed presentation was also made on the occasion depicting the layout plan and other related things about the prestigious Bus Stand project.
