Doctors of MSS Educate people about treatment of heart failure

Jammu, Sept 19 : Doctors from Max Super Speciality Hospital ( MSS ) , Saket, New Delhi, Dr. KK Talwar, Chairman Cardiology and Dr. Kewal Krishan, Program Incharge Heart Transplant and Ventricular Assist Devices addressed a media conference in Jammu to educate the people about the treatments available for heart failure patients at the hospital.
On the occasion, Dr. K.K Talwar, said, "Today's lifestyle of people results in high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and coronary artery disease, which further lead to heart ailments. These are major risk factors for heart failure. In addition rheumatic valvular disease also continues to be an important cause of heart failure in our population". Dr. Kewal Krishan said that MAX hospital has implanted 4 Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD's) 35 extracorporeal membrane oxygenations ( ECMO)and a heart transplant.
