After Dy CM's spouse, now Jitendra Singh's wife gets active in field Is Union Minister's wife readying to join BJP....? 9/20/2015 12:12:08 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 19: The whispers and gossips in the political corridors and BJP circles about Dr Nirmal Singh's wife as to whether she is the Deputy Chief Minister of the State in terms of her active profile are not yet over, a fresh scenario is emerging on similar lines , this time for Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh's spouse. While Mamta Singh, Dr Nirma Singh's wife has been actively pursuing field work of the party much ahead of elections and even after formation of the Government, Union Minister's wife Manju Singh has lately ventured into this 'mode' sparking a speculation that she may formally join the party. For Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh's wife BJP is not a new organisation as she herself has remained associated with the party as an office bearer too in various capacities. Her super active role ahead of Assembly elections and during the campaign too surprised many for her political acumen and the hard work she put in ensuring the victory of her husband. Her hardwork bore the fruits and Dr Nirmal Singh, unexpectedly for all was elevated to the post of the Deputy Chief Minister. However, Mamta Singh did not stop here and she continued her active role in the field, albeit with a pinch of elevated stature, portraying herself at every place as the wife of Deputy Chief Minister instead of her own identity as BJP leader. As she participated in almost every official, party programme after Dr Singh became Deputy CM, this generated gossips and chatters even went on to this extent that she was the real boss. These gossips have not yet subsided, almost in competition as it looks, it is the wife of Dr Jitendra Singh who is entering into gear and mode. Only a day back, she was seen attending a BJP function at Kathua and her participation as chief guest was said to be on the invitation of local MLA Rajiv Jasrotia. Manju Singh, who is a house wife was garlanded and welcomed in the programme by the supporters of the MLA. She visited various places in the constituency and later addressed the gathering where she listened to problems of the people , assured them solution and even talked about various development projects meant for the people of the constituency.
