Jammu, Sept 19: Sub-Judge, Jammu, S S Bali has awarded three years imprisonment to Hardy Temmy Swesleya, a resident of Namibia, who was arrested by crime branch (CB) in the fake credit card scam. According to the CB case, the fraudsters adopted various methods of cheating the banks and genuine card holders. The fraud is perpetrated by using the blank piece of plastic on which the credit card information which has been downloaded from host terminal or obtained through their contacts is imprinted on the plastic cards. The sub-judge, after hearing a senior PO, observed that the accused had voluntarily confessed the charges levelled against him and awarded him 3 years imprisonment. (JNF) |
