JKAACL, GDC Udhampur organize Dogri mushaira | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 19: Jammu And Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) in collaboration with Government Degree College, Udhampur organized Dogri mushaira in the auditorium of the college. Prof. Deshbandu Dogra Nutan presided the programme wherein Prof S S Bhalwal, Principal, GDC, Udhampur was chief guest. Parkash Premi, prominent Dogri writer, scholar and intellectual, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Prof Romesh Attri, HoD Botany were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Deshbandu Dogra Nutan appreciated the efforts of JKAACL for their serious efforts for the promotion of art, culture and languages. He also praised the poets who recited their poetry in Dogri. He said that the students of the college who recited their poetry first time in this mushaira reflected successfully that the future of Dogri poetry is in secure hands. Prof SS Bhalwal, Principal, GDC, Udhampur, while speaking on the occasion said that such mushairas may be organized in the Academic institutions regularly so that the youth of the respective regions can be motivated towards their culture and literature. |
