Reasi, Sept 19: In a joint search operation troops, today unearthed a terrorist hideout in Khataji in upper reaches Mahore of Reasi district and recovered arms and ammunition. "Based on specific information, the troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Bn at Bagga under the aegis of Uniform Force Hqrs, Reasi and local Police launched a search operation in Dargainar, higher ridges of Khataji mountain ranges of Mahore tehsil early hours of today morning," said Defence spokesperson here today. H said that the cache was found buried under four feet deep in a natural hideout below a boulder and recovery included one Rifle AK-47, 30 cartridges of ammunition AK-47, two magazines and assorted administrative stores He said that timely recovery of the cache has prevented any untoward incident in the area and thwarted the evil designs of the terrorists. |
