Alleging MLA ignoring locality, Sunderbani locals stage protest 9/19/2015 11:38:49 PM Early Times Report Sunderbani, Sept 19: Alleging the MLA Ravinder Raina for ignoring the development work at Sunderbani, the Sunderbani residents staged a huge protest and blocked the main Kangri-Sunderbani. The protestors said that MLA is doing discrimination with the people of Sunderbani area and alleged that that MLA who has hometown Nowshera is busy in seeking development works there but at the cost of Sunderbani One Pankaj Raina, said that the Municipal Committee Sunderbani also not working properly. He said that the people suffer due to bad roads from last 20 years and none of the department yet has agreed to their long pending demand of better road connectivity. "And whenever they put forth their demands in front of municipality, the officer often shrugged from the responsibility saying that the road comes under jurisdiction of BRO. A shopkeeper Sarabjeet said that there is no construction of sewage system and the workers of MC Sunderbani dump all the waste in front of their shops which not only affects their but also the health as well. President Swyam Sewa Sanstha Amit Kumar said that few days ago the repairing of road started but the same was stalled by the concerning department resaons better known to authorities. The Young NSUI leader Manik Raina said that elected MLA needs to redress problems of people, if he can't, he needs to step down. Later Tehsildar Sunderbani Pankaj Sasan, Naib Tehsildar R K Sharma, Municipal E.O K L Raina rushed to spot and pacified protestors by assuring them to take up their issues to higher authorities for proper redressal.
