Jammu, Sept 27: An elderly man was killed when the two wheeler he was riding was hit by a bus in the heart of Jammu city, police said today.
Joginder Singh (65) was seriously injured when the two wheeler he was riding was hit by a bus near the KC Morh area in the city yesterday, a police officer said.
He said Singh, a resident of Bakshi Nagar locality, was immediately shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu where he expired in the night. The body was handed over to his relatives after conducting post-mortem and other legal formalities, he said.
A case has been registered against the bus driver who was arrested from the spot by the police, he said, adding, the vehicle has also been impounded by Bakshi Nagar police station. |
