Jammu, Sept 27: Ex Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association today criticizes union government for dividing forces in which they holding relay hunger strike day 17th since 11 Sept 2015 at Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Park. According to press release, association General Secretary Darshan Kumar said that the Association having about 15 Lacs retirees including veer naris and 75 Lacs dependents all over the country from BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF and Assam Rifles. He further said that they have approached Hon'be Minister for Home, Minister for PMO and Hon'ble Prime Minister through memorandums. But neither have listened us nor have our difficulties and problem been solved. All Defence Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces are defending the country and its integrity and sovereignty. Both have been raised under the constitution of India. GOI is knowingly inflicting discrimination and disparity by not granting OROP to Central Paramilitary Forces while granting it to Defence Forces. This is not the one injustice done to us, there are many more burning issues we are facing like OROP, revision of Pension pre and post 2006 retirees, widow pension, martyr status, ex servicemen status, CSD facilities and medical facilities like ECHS, reserve quota forwards, Paramilitary Service Pay and Grade Pay too. "By ignoring the Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces GOI is dividing the forces and as well as the retirees including veer naris and dependents, this will effect the future of country with regards its welfare, development and attraction towards the Indian Forces and it will lead to poverty, unemployment as well as progress and prosperity of country on all the walk of life which will create hurdles for future elections", he said. We have lived a rigorous life on borders defending the country in all harsh and inclement weather around the clock under appalling circumstances and Gal is compelling us to fight for our rights. In case we are not healed, we along with our families, veer naris and dependents all over the country all to get over streets and roads and the responsibility of this logjam is sheerly of Gal. They further request the Central Government, particularly Hon'ble Home Minister and Hon'ble Prime Minister to please keep your promises and look after our genuine and fundamental demands of OROP, Paramilitary Service Pay, Grade Pay, Revision of Pension, Widow Pension, CSD and Medical Facilities, Reserve Quota for wards, allotment of accommodation and employment of Widows, are to be mitigated on top priority. |
