PHE contractual employees stages protest, demands regularization 9/27/2015 10:52:46 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 27: All contractual employees of the PHE department of Jammu province today stages protest dharna, demanded regularization. According to press release, Association president Tanveer Hussain said despite of various requests made by the daily wagers to government but they had turned deaf ear to our genuine demands for which we are entitled. He further said that the government will reap consequences for non attention for the genuine demand made by the needy poor daily wagers who seek justice from the government for their demands. He further said that government has constituted number of committees and sub committees for the redressed of the governance of the daily wagers of the PHE department who utterly failed to make justice to the genuine demand of the daily wagers regularization in this department. The PHE, IFC Minister have also promised on May 28, 2015 to redress the grievances of the genuine demands of the daily wagers. 1743 ITI trained working as casual labour/ daily wager as per spirit of Government cabinet decision 116/4 dated 11-05-2006 for the last 9 years in the PHE department and CP worker, need based and land cased for the last 20 years with entire satisfaction of the superiors. However all the employees have been approved and transmitted by chief engineer PHE Jammu to administrative department for considering their regularization. They further said that the association demanding to frame proper policy for their regularization. If their demands are not considered they have to stop the water supply to all the area including Katra Mata Vaishno Devi in near future.
